In 2003 the specialization “Economic Statistics” was passed to the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies.

The Faculty of Accounting has a strategic mission of training highly qualified specialists in the field of accounting, economic analysis and auditing.

Auditing is an information system for making optimal managerial decisions; it is the language of business. Its aim is to provide all users (owners, managers, stock holders, investors, creditors, state bodies) with reliable information about the financial state and results of business activity of enterprises.

104 Faculty members (4 departments), including 14 doctors of sciences, professors, 73 associate professors, candidates of economic sciences, 17 senior lecturers and  assistants offer instruction and perform research.

The Faculty incorporates a computer room with access to the Internet, 3 specialized research rooms, 2 reading halls, a library for distant students.

The Faculty is successfully integrating into the European system of education based on the Bologna declaration, which defined the approaches to creating a single European educational environment. It has established friendly relations with the Business School in New-Castle (Great Britain), the University of Konstanz (Germany), and the Scottish University.
